The emotional story of a priest who taught girls in a Honduran orphanage to cope with their lives and feelings through writing poetry. In this Red Door Series interview, Spencer Reece talks about how this led to the book “Counting Time Like People Count Stars: Poems by the Girls of Our Little Roses, San Pedro Sula, Honduras” and a documentary film “Voices Beyond the Wall: Twelve Love Poems from the Murder Capital of the World.”
A series of mini-films about the eight dancers featured in the PBS film 'Wacipi-Celebrating Native American Dance and Song. PBS partnered with Native American Jump Start and Central Wyoming College to produce the film and we edited outtakes and extra footage to produce roughly two hours of specialized content. These videos are private for now, but we hope we can make public in the future.
The safe storage of firearms is the subject of three 30-second spots we produced in cooperation with the Community Prevention Coalition of Teton County, WY. These were easy to film and edit and have been shown around the area. Feel free to share them!
Jackson, Wyoming poet Libby Crews Wood talks about her poetry and reads her poem “What Could Not Burn,” recounting the real-life choices that had to be made as fire threatened her parents’ ranch. Libby is interviewed by Brian Nystrom, a priest at St John’s Episcopal Church and the organizer of the Red Door poetry series. In this series combining poetry and meditation, poems are read and re-read, interspersed with periods of reflection, and followed by a discussion.
This 60 second promo highlights the Wonder Festival, three days of workshops, ritual and conversations held in Jackson, Wyoming. We collaborated with the Festival's organizers to promote the event that features former poet laureate of the United States, Joy Harjo and other well known and up and coming poets.
